How do i assign kill swhitches with the BCF 2000?

so when ive set one of the buttons (not a fader or rotary but one of the actual push buttons) to the bass kill tab on the EQ Three it will only turn it back on when the i actually have the button pressed in real time instead of just pressing it once to turn the bass back on like you would with a normal kill switch. so my question is how do i assign it to where it goes on and off without having to use the faders which would make for a slow kill crossover or do i just have to use two of the push buttons which owuld then bring up another question which is how ouwld i assign two buttons to the same killswitch tab?
