Lexicon Omega soundcard problems

Post by buzby » Thu Feb 09, 2006 2:37 pm

hi - me and some friends (all pretty experienced people with ableton) have been having a nightmare configuring a Lexicon Omega and Ableton 5 on a PC Laptop (Toshiba - 6 months old etc etc-).

I could write a small essay about various problems and wierd behaviour that we have experienced over the last 2 weeks - it is starting to lose its humour

anyone out there using a Omega and Ableton together that i can be in touch with ?? in the meantime i think i will actually go and write the small essay - and post it

I've been using Lexicon Omega Studio and Ableton Live 5 together with four months now, with no problems at all. Mainly I use it with a Mac mini, but occasionally on my Windows PC (desktop) as well. I actually route my E-MU 0404 from the PC to the Omega with SPDIF, using it as a small mixer.

Maybe you could describe your problems in more detail. It would be interesting to see if they can be replicated on my setup.

hi Cone

laptop went a bit crazy - i could nt even open Cubase over the weekend - so i ended up uninstalling everything and re-installing -

then i used a friends Omega driver disc and things seem to working ok apart from now i cant save Live as self contained sets - when i do it just tells me Ableton is not responding - but this is a luxury problem compared to the last few weeks soundcard problems

cheers

buzz-

maybe instead of using your friend's Omega driver disc you should download the latest driver from Lexicon:
