Here is a Live Set for the Modmachines vs Breadbox Demo. You can get it here
. You must have the Modmachines vs Breadbox Demo LiveFill or the Full/Paid Modmachines vs Breadbox LiveFill installed to load up this set ( Click the big picture up top to go to Demo page ). Not much going on in the way of arrangement just a few inst layers. This ALS is More for just Firing Clips a la session View. Also, if you have a Trigger Finger MIDI Controller you can Load up the M-Audio Enigma xml file( included with the .ALS ) and Then Load the Modmachines Demo.als . You will instantly be able to Control the Live Set with your Trigger Finger. Read the Trigger Finger instructions in downloaded ZIP for more info. The Picture above is what is controlled in the ALS by Program 2 on your Trigger Finger. There are two beat repeats in the ALS. Most of the Pads and Faders on Program 2 Tweak them. Program 1 Fires all Clips.

Basically, its a Live Set with MIDI ccs mapped to Clips, as well as various Mixer and Effect parameters. Then, included with the Live Set (.ALS) is a Trigger Finger Template (.XML file) which you can upload to your trigger finger with M-Audio's Enigma editor. The picture above( which is supposed to resemble a Trigger Finger controller ) shows what each knob, slider and pad controls on program 2 of the Trigger Finger template. So, for instance, load up the trigger finger template and switch to program(bank) 2 on your trigger finger then open the Live Set:

Fader 1 on your trigger finger will control the Interval of Beat Repeat Layer 1(Track 1)
Fader 2 on your trigger finger will control the Grid of Beat Repeat Layer I(Track 1)
Fader 3 on your trigger finger will control the Grid of Beat Repeat Layer II(Track 2)
...
Knob 5 on your trigger finger will control the Mixer Volume of Layer I(Track 1)
Knob 1 on your trigger finger will control the Mixer Volume of Layer II(Track 2)
Knob 8 on your trigger finger will control the crossfade of Layer I & Layer II
...
Pad 13 sends out velocity messages to Gate of Beat Repeat Layer I(Track 1)
Pad 12 toggles mix mode of Beat Repeat Layer I(Track 1)
Pad 4 toggles mix mode of Beat Repeat Layer I(Track 1)
...all of the parameters and their controllers are described in the read me that comes with the ALS file

You dont need a trigger finger to use the Live Set

Lots of people were requesting a demo song for Modmachines, but i thought something like this would be more useful and fun to use. Im trying to get feedback to see if anyone is finding this type of set-up useful or if anyone even gets it to work.

I'll be trying it out soon, seeing as how I have both the full refill, and a trigger finger.

will let you know!

Hello! I've bought ableton live 8 and Modmachines vs Breadbox FULL, to use with a trigger finger. followed the instructions contained in the file (and configured the MIDI settings so ableton recognizes the trigger finger) and still no luck. i'm a total newb please help!

Code: Select all

Load up the Trigger Finger Programs...
1. Open Enigma Editor and load ( import ) the proper Trigger Finger template

Trigger Finger ModmachinesWindows.xml
  or
Trigger Finger ModmachinesMac.xml
then upload to your Trigger Finger MIDI Controller
( you can find out how to do this with your Trigger Finger Users Manual )

2. Install Modmachines vs Breadbox Demo

3. Load up Modmachines Demo.als

4. Giddee - yup

Program 1
Pads:
Fires clips labeled Trigger in Track 1.
Knobs/Sliders:
Control Beat Repeat Parameters ( same for program 1 & 2 & 3 )

Program 2 See Picture Beat - Trigger
Pads:
Send out Velocity and Note On/Offs to Beat Repeat Parameters
Knobs/Sliders:
 Control Beat Repeat Parameters ( same for program 1 & 2 & 3 )

Program 3
Pads:
Fires clips labeled Stutter in Track 1
Knobs/Sliders:
 Control Beat Repeat Parameters ( same for program 1 & 2 & 3 )

-i followed all of that
-configured enigma (and uploaded the keys)
-configured the MIDI device (trigger finger) so it's ON in ableton live 8

any thoughts?
