Its not my editor of choice, but it will do all the basic stuff realy well. Its cross platform, free, and when I checked it out, stable. If you dont have an external wav editor, get this for sure. I'm sure there are other free editors out there too.

Big pitty it crashes Live every time, with OSX!

although, i have to admit, i never launch it from live. I have peak anchored to live.

I gave up the search and picked up DSP quattro. They're were selling them for about 60€ around christmas.
That was a sweet bargain. It's a very cool editor and it works flawless with Live.

Have you ever come back to live (ie forgot to quit it) after doing soemething else and found Live to be unresponsive? Audacity's fault (or rather both of 'em)

I'm not dissing audacity, it's a damn fine app, and I use it lots on both mac and pc, even recomend it to hard up students that can't afford Audition!
I do find it a bit niggly tho as i'm used to sound forge, wavelab etc.. Mustn't grumble eh?..
