Lawrenceville of Arabia
Hey y'all,
I think someone used to have a sig that said Myspace sucks or something, but I my professional career may end up in Graphic Design so I am too concerned to put out a site yet in my name.
Fortunately, I love constructive criticism so here is a post to my myspace account with some of my music. I am not sure that it is entirely representaional of anything, but it is a very non-specific selection from an enormous body of work I have done in Live.

My collaborater and I have some pretty straightfoward yet innovative tunes coagulating . I intend to post some of that in the future, as well as some links to more developed, longer, non mp3 format tracks in the near future.
Edit: here's a little animation http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-p-sfOdhaGw

hi
sweet tune didn't hear all of it because the buffering was always kicking in but was good. Would have liked to hear some more padding or ambient sounds to fill it out though

I used to sit around around scraping my guitar trhough my fancy-ass lexicon delay processor when I was younger and just watch the leaves falling in Ithaca NY. Mmmm... Vacation makes everything so... ambient...

Thanks a lot!RopeyPunter wrote:what'd you do the animation in ? the track reminds me of trent reznor, what with the whishpering and all, i like it!
I used Macromedia director. It's a very silly program. Easy and frustrating at the same time. Only one-undo-deep-history is perhaps the most primitive aspect of it. I look foward to playing with flash for my next project. Once the merom's come out I will throw down for Maya (academic liscenses will not even transfer to a second computer!) . My goal is to use live, max and jitter with characters and environments created in maya.
what kind of merom are you holding out for ? a mac or pc lappie ? or a mac or pc desktop ? ....I knew it was time for intel to pave the way for a new chipset, but hadnt heard about merom, just done a little googling.....what do you know about whitefield ? ...seems like thats the puppy to hold out for if you want to use maya...
whitefield? Well I just got off a plane (stereolab was awesome in chicago btw) and I'm starting a new job in the morning so I don't have time to google this, but I plan on using a mac no matter what.
Stereolabs video backdrop, without giving anything away, gave me so many ideas for incorporating maya with live and jitter. What a good show!

First track I've posted from my collaboration with Dr. Z (PA- I believe there is aother Dr. Z already, but, well, this guy is a Dr. and his last name starts with a Z
)
I definately prefer my drums in later versions we did tonight, but this first run through that we improvised earlier in the evening after a little live-patchery has a feel we both really like.
Yeah, I'm pretty excited about the potential for this piece.
