I'm new here and have been using Logic for about three years now. I am running OS10.4.5 on Dual 2gig G5 with 4 gigs of memory and Logic vers. 7.1.1. I just purchased Live 5 and want to rewire these kids together and I am having a Mutha of a time. I checked out all the sites and followed all the on line tutorials, and still no rewire love.
Basically, I open Logic select/ set up my rewire tracks (my environment is set up correctly) and then I open Live. Live then pops up a window that acknowledges that it is the slave; and that's where the fun ends. I can't select crap in Live's outputs or inputs; there is no acknowledgement of Logic or rewire... The tempos on both programs are independant.
I have used Logic with Reason 2.5 and everything is OK and slow.... Reason takes forever to load and loads up faster in the background, with Logic on top. In fact trying to load sounds or instruments don't load in Reason if Reason is selected; they only load running in the background. Perhaps I have some anti-rewire buffer on or some "It's not happening for you" plugin on in my autoload....
Any suggestions on how I can get rewire to work for me rather than against me? Is there something I need to turn off in Logic or my OS to make rewire my friend? I never had this problem in Logic 6....
Any advice would be super dooper.
