anybody have any info about this? ableton.com says 3rd quarter of this year. i'm running 4.0 right now, i'm just gonna wait for 6 to upgrade.

Optomisation for dual core processors, multithreading, etc. are confirmed and that's it at this stage.

There was a hint from the "Camp Ableton" thread that more instruments and audio effects might be in the pipeline at some point, and also Ableton have stated that their priority for 2006 is to improve performance, so even greater efficiency is likely.

The big headline thing that I suspect several users are looking out for is video support, and it will certainly be interesting to see if/how that is integrated.

That's good. Performance and some workflow improvements should definitely be a priority.
