Ableton&Trigger Finger Conflict

Post by Psioniko.Com » Fri Mar 24, 2006 4:49 pm

Hello –

I am currently using Ableton 5.01 with M-Audio Trigger Finger on my Mac iBook very successfully except for one thing:

For some strange reason, Ableton recognizes Trigger Finger´s third slider fader (from left to right) and Trigger Finger´s third control knob (from left to right, upper row) as the SAME control…so I cant assign them to control different things in Ableton, which is very frustrating.

¿Is this a known issue?

¿How can I fix this?

You can see a picture of the trigger finger with the conflicted controls below:

Kind Regards,

Hi and welcome,

Reprogram your TF to send different messages from the knob and slider. Either from Enigma (available for Mac?) or from the unit itself.

Good luck,
Mikael

Live-Trigger Finger conflict

Are you modifying a TF preset? I used Enigma to create new ones from scratch (in my own TF Bank, not a preset one) and there's no conflict. But you're using Live 5/Mac and I'm on 6/PC, maybe that's relevant.

If you haven't already, try a new bank & preset from scratch and start with those two controls, see if that works.

It is a trigger finger issue. the knob & slider in question send out the same message by default. Change it in Enigma or on the unit itself as mentioned before.
