RFX Midibuddy Problems

Post by bpayne73 » Sun Mar 26, 2006 12:43 am

I've read all of the posts on this and tried with both controlaid and midipipe and no luck. I have the RFX midibuddy (bought it used and wondered if something was wrong) hooked up to my firebox. On Apple's AUDIOMIDI set up - I test the midi signal and it works. I use midipipe (one of the examples to change program change to note on/note off) and then use it as a remote in Live - it doesn't even show up (on the ableton live midi in light in the upper right corner). So, any help on how to set this up in either app would be great. I tried the one Charlie gave to Carlos on the forum but it just doesn't seem to be registering - does the bank/patch number (on the hardware controller) need to be on a certain group of numbered patches.
THanks,
BP

So you're testing the signal in the audiomidi setup and it works, and it crashes your midi widget? In any case it must mean that a signal is being produced. And seeing as any signal can be used to generate a midi note I really don't think it's a faulty unit...?

don't trust my widget. Try downloading midiPipe or Midi Monitor and use that.
