Human Voice (Yells, Screams) - Sample Library?

Post by Moody » Tue Mar 28, 2006 4:57 pm

I am looking for suggestions about picking up a sample library with human voices. What I am really looking for is fearful human voice sounds. Yells, screams and other odd noises one would make if they where scared out of their wits. I have searched around but, have not turned up much. I did come across a suggestion for a Skinny Puppy sample CD that was put out but, have not found a good link for it. Any help would be great.

Yeah, I am just sort of doing it myself but, some diversity would be nice. I do like yelling though. :D

hi, this sort of thing i would do myself, if you have some sort of mobile recording facility like a minidisc or mp3 player with mic, then sample, record friends, people in the college, work or on the street, ask them to yell, scream or do whatever noise for a "project" i am shure you will find plenty of people who will contribute with a result of great variety.

Look in the bargain bin at your local record store for a halloween sound effects cd.

Ok, well I have plenty of mics... SO, it looks like we have a few volunteers to be waxed as well. :P

Call your local high school or college's theater department and talk to the director of the program about doing some quick voicework. Nice mic and whalla.

You can find some screams and yells on freesound. I put "yell scream" as search and got 54 results, some are quite scary.

If you make your own recordings you could publish them there as well.
