live-looping/beat-boxing/guit synthing/kicking of the asses

Post by kimyo » Mon Apr 03, 2006 5:42 am

dan ash, adam matta and i are proud to give you 'another night in tunisia', a spontaneous, live-looped, serious kick-ass jam:

http://www.iosonic.com/audio/anothernightintunisia.mp3

that's dan on guit, guit synth (some of the rhode-sey stuff is him, the rest is
me) and looping with his electrix repeater, adam beatboxing and giving up some serious vocal trumpet solos, and me on keys and live looping (ableton live).

i've never had a more satisfying loop-based experience.

feedback would be most appreciated. leave some on our blog here:

there's more on adam here:

other music made with ableton live here:

be well,

kim

i'm listening to you now:
i liked marePlacido. listening to leave on the LED (great title)

very clean, nice recordings, nice progressions/shaking things around.

i'll put them and a couple of others on my car player.....

thanks for checking out my stuff!

listening to after party now. i dig the chill stuff sometimes.

i like the sitar sounding acoustic and love the organ stuff. im mostly an organist. here is a solo organ acid-jazz breaks kind of thing (its not done in live though. shhhh). just left click andyour off.

i may use some of this beatboxing in a downtempo dj set - would you guys mind?

you should fill in your id3 tags with website info and such, its a good promotional tool.

thanks again.

the organ is dan playing guitar through an axon controller, and the roland b3 module - he does some amazing stuff.

let me check with adam to make sure that he's okay with you using the beatboxing.

i like your track with the kid singing her heart out. makes me smile.

good tip on mp3 tags, i wish adobe audition would ask me for tag info or automatically put it in when saving.
