Novation SL mapping question

Will it just automap within one thing eg between different modules in Reason, or will it automap between different devices; i.e can I use it for an Ableton plug in, then open Reason as a slave device and start playing something on there??

I've tried this and it wont work, im sure I also read on the novation website in an FAQ somewhere that its not possible.

I found the solution anyway, I ditched reason and got similar plugins for ableton, its much easier to use, all in one program, 1 sequencer instead of 2 and it uses less cpu!!!

Thanks on both. What VSTs can you recommend to replace Reason? I just use Reason for orchestral or piano type sequences, although I like Redrum as well. I like the string sounds for example on the NNXT.

I write dance music so use Hypersonic for Piano and Strings, Vanguard and Novation V-Station for synths (which blow the NNXT and Subtractor out the water), Native Instruments Battery as a redrum replacement (again blows it out the water)

Native Instruments Absynth is also good for fx / ambient sounds, infact I have found NI stuff on the whole to be superb both synths and plugins

If im hearing you right, i cant use the sl25 to control anything via rewire whilst in automap mode? When i fired up reason it said it couldn't dtect the sl. Can you not switch between templates?
