Gee, Live sure don't like Pluggo
I like alot of the Plugs that Pluggo Offers but it seems that if I do any changes to Pluggo Presets or some parameters while audio is running on my Mac (G4 powerbook 1.5ghz, 1.25 Gig RAM) I will crash the App. Anyone dealing with similar problems? Any workarounds?

live 5.2.2 and pluggo 3.1.1 seem like an ok combo, but i still need to auth this pluggo to see if it ake audio flow through "limi" and some little guys i made.
been messin giwth what pluggo to use myself. 3.5.4 (or whatever latest is as of 091906) make my cpu ramp up like no other. very insane. or it just crashes.
(fingers crossed on the auth here)
computers are really a pain when they are not amazing.

Cycling 74 will shortly be releasing an update to the pluggo package. last i heard it was suppose to be released sometime during september... this update follows on from the max-msp 4.6 update to universal binary, so pluggo should also be UB.
I seem to remember a message, from the C74 team on their forum, saying this update should address issues Live users have had with automation / clip envelopes.
fingers crossed...

Spending too much time here, huh?hoffman2k wrote:Any clue what that "mysterious feature" in 4.6 is?
It's only mentioned in the changelog of beta 11...
I asked on their forum. But with my low postcount there, I just get jokes as reply.

I have a question about max/msp.
I didn't realize that they had student pricing, and if any of you can clarify....
If you are a student, you can buy a 9-month license for only $59? And the price to outright buy max/msp is $250?
So, in reality, I could use max/msp for 9 months, then buy it when school is closer to an end, and it would be $250, minus $39 because of the 9 month license?
I may have to look into that.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks hoffman,
I have the demo, playing with it. I know you have pluggo, but are you also using max? All in all, as a quasi programmer (many statistical packages under my belt), the logic is pretty clear, but I know it will take some time to get anything really usable out of this. It is fun however.
Also, can you use pluggo effects inside of Max/msp?
Thanks again,
AB

So, I would need to buy pluggo as well?
Are there ways of sharing user created patches for Max/msp? And, how is the best way to use LIVE and Max in conjunction.
Sorry, I know these sound like noob questions, just sorta tired tonight, and was hoping to jumpstart the learning curve. I have been doing the tutorials for the past 1-2 hours, though....
