Hi folks!
I think the SAVE SELF CONTAINED should forget about former MP3 versions of yer samples, specially when Live has that much trouble and dependencies on QuickTime versions etc etc etc. When I press "Save Self Contained" I want to be completely sure that this project is going to be the same always. If Live rendered a MP3 file to WAV, even using an external application, and I have worked tons on it, Why resampling it again? I think it makes no sense. For saving some MB's? naahhhh..... Space is so cheap today I think it's not worth it!!!
A True "SAVE SELF CONTAINED"
I would not vote for that.huffcw wrote:Taking this a step further, I would like to see Live save a bundle file (similar to Sonar) - which is one large file that contains eveything for the project.
Today you can pick single wavs/als and reuse it even if the main file gets corrupted. I have got enough of all this propietary standards. Keep thing easy and reliable. Asn is implemented today it's good enough to provide reliability and stability, why change?

sounds like you should just decompress your whole batch of mp3's to wav, and you'll never need to worry about this againrupps wrote: Space is so cheap today I think it's not worth it!!!
I am not suggesting removing that option - but instead adding an additional choice for a complete bundle.Pasha wrote: I would not vote for that.
