Live 6???

Any substantiated or unsusbstantiated rumors of a Live 6 release date? Before I plunk down some cash on a Live 5 bundle, I'd like to know......

Supposedly 3rd quarter: April 1, 2006 – June 30, 2006. I bought Live 2 and got a free upgrade to Live3. There wasn't a huge change, like there was between 3 & 4 ( and 4 & 5 ) though. The upgrade price generally is quite worth it, though.

I would imagine they would at least announce something in May, so wait a couple of weeks.

Somewhere between 3 and 5, but it also depends if it is a leapyear.

not in the business world. i work for an insurance company, our first quarter starts in the beginning of december, i think my brother's company might start as late as february, to avoid all of the holiday related work-absences.

Judging by past releases, I would guess in early to mid July for Live 6. Honestly, I think they learned a lot about version 5, what to's and what not to do's, so if they only release a beta in the Q2 I wouldn't mind. Then again, I am not running a duocore (yet  ) so I have more patience than some of you lucky bastards out there right now. Ultimately, we all just want the abes to get it right. This version could fully realize Live's abilities for some of us who like working with many many tracks of VSTs. Can you just imagine a switch for processor/core # 2 to run VSTs or FX only? The future is going to be pretty spectacular, and mac and windows children will be holding hands, cheering for the Abes... hahaha okay...

I'm in the same boat. I am about to order the Live Ozone Bundle but they just put a deadline on that deal. I wonder why...

Probably because the ozone is crap

Don't take my word for it. I've only heard complaints. I never actually owned one though.
I just remember that some people felt burned when they bought that (or almost any other piece of m-audio gear)

Yeah, it's weird. I was thinking about getting the Axiom 25/Live 5 bundle and the guy at my local music store said I might want to wait because Live 6 was going to come out in a few weeks! I told him I was sure he was mistaken, so he said he would call and find out. Then he came back and said he was mistaken........but it did make me start to wonder......
