I was just wondering if anyone could tell me if you can use an mpc 1000 or any mpc and as a midi controller for impulse.

Thanks in advance

Is it fairly easy to chop up samples on the mpc? I'm asking because I want to be able to trigger phrases as well as drums. When I try to use impulse for triggering phrases from a loop, it doesn't sync up with the tempo or play for the entire duration of the phrase; do either of you know how to remedy that?

if you want o trigger phrazes and have them tempo-synced i would just put each clip in the session view and then trigger them that way. your not going to get any tempo sync out of impulse right now. if you still want to trigger them from impuilse to get them to play for the duration, youll see a toggle button to the right of the filter section on impulse, switch that to gate for each cell in impiulse, when you hit the MPC pad, hold the pad down for the duration of the phraze...
