Make reverse clip button midi assignable

Post by aviavi » Sat Apr 29, 2006 2:54 am

This would greatly enhance Live's functionality as a live looping device.

Also, I'd like to remind Ableton to PLEASE make a "triggle" option (combination of toggle and trigger) so that when one records a clip, and stops recording, it starts playing immediately or on the next quantize beat (like Trigger does) BUT with the ability to toggle the sample on and off - like Toggle.

Defintely, i reverse hits a LOT doing drum fills, this would speed things up considerably.

Reverse via clip envelopes would be great too.
Envelope up= play normal
Envelope down= reverse
The reversed section is determined by envelope points.
And a big +1000 for reverse in impulse.

I long for the ability to reverse samples via a midi command EVERY TIME I use Live.

It would be great if this showed up in an incremental update.

Being able to map MIDI control to the loop brace would be pretty freakinig cool also.
