I know there's been plenty of posts on the obvious audio drop outs and cpu issues with Live, especialy on an older machine like my G4.
But could someone tell me what are the best (or close to best) settings I should have??
I've tried playing around with plugin buffer's and the like, but it doesn't seem to make a difference, maybe I haven't combined them right??
My setup: G4 Dual 867, 1 Gb Ram, 250 Gb Hard Drive, Live 5.2, Audiophile 2496 soundcard, various plugins - moog, psp etc.
I do have my hard drive partitioned into 3 drives, 1 for systems/apps (inc. Live), 1 for sound (inc. samples/breaks) and 1 for graphics/pics. would that have any effect??
Thanks
G4 Dual 867 Optimization Settings??

Optimize
You would be better getting a second hard drive on your systems .
Main drive for applications and 2nd for audio only also max out your Ram.
