bump....

having the same problem... 2 different version of Bidule, and reinstalled twice...

anyone know what would cause a missing rewire app on the audio from list?

anyone else having these problems?

bidule is my only rewire app that's missing, so it could be a bidule problem, but i haven't seen anything on their forums regarding it...

help.... thanks.

ill probably end up registering an account on the bidule forums and posting. i posted this on KVR audio and they just told me that my best bet would be the plogue forums.. glad to see im not the only person with this problem

Do you have reaktor 5 by any chance? does reaktor 5 crash live for you, when you do anything with sample maps or try to import samples? In order to use samples in reaktor 5, I have to host it in like fruityloops and then rewire it into live. its rather ridiculous, and i'm not the only person who has had this problem with incompatibility between reaktor 5 and live. when I don't use samples, reaktor 5 works perfectly.

did you update reaktor 5? there's an update that NI put out that fixed alot of the crash problems that reaktor was having with live....

it's 5.0.0.8

no, sorry, it won't work that way...

lemme explain.. if it's not on the audio from list then, if you try to open up Bidule, you get an error message:

"Another rewire mixer application is already running"...

Because you can't choose it from the audio from menu, you can't activate bidule as a slave, so it tries to open up as the master, but Live is already the master, so they conflict.

I did a little research, it's definitely something with live, because the problem happens on OSx as well as Cubase, and you're supposed to delete the prefs. I did that, and it still doesn't work.. On windows..

Does it work with Bidule running as Master and Live as slave (not that it makes things better).. just an idea. I use Bidule and Live together with rewire, and yeah it should be listed with the others like Floops etc Mine is ok execpt trying to load reaktor as a VST whilst Live and Bidule are rewired causes a COMPLETE system freeze. Ive got a feeling there might be a few Live Bidule Rewire issues maybe.

Hey people,

the solution to this is to edit your registry, I know you shouldnt have to, but you do...

firstly, backup your registry...then go to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Propellerhead Software\ReWire

then add a new key, call it "Bidule" or whatever you want to display in Live, then open that key and add a new string value called "Device Path" and give it a value of the path to Plogue Rewire dll (probably something like "C:\Program Files\PLOGUE\BIDULE\PlogueBiduleRewireDevice.dll")

if you have a prob, check one of the other keys in the ReWire folder and sort of copy it, thats what I did...

thats it!

you might need to restart your PC, at least Live anyway, but you should be able to see it in the list....

Cheers
