How do you set faders to zero dB?

Post by aviavi » Sun May 14, 2006 1:53 am

Is there a way to set all faders in the mixer to zero (0) dB?

It's a pain to click and drag each one, and hope that you actually hit zero. It seems like there should be an option-click type command to zero-out a fader.

Anyone know?

you can also enter fader values into the arrangement view. in case you ever want another precise value, or happen to be working in arrange anyway. or hit backspace after selecting the fader value box will get you to zero, like vonster said.

i've got a bcf controller, so sometimes i also do this by flipping the faders/encoders, and then using the pushbutton on the encoders to zero the track fader. in normal position, clicking the encoder button will center tha track panning, which you can do on-screen by clicking the little triangle with the mouse.

faders

Post by Jett » Sat May 27, 2006 4:39 pm

Maybe you'll can help me out. My faders on my yamaha 01x were working fine but now they aren't.
When i move a fader on the 01x the corresponding fader in live moves but when i push the button on the 01x to make the volume default to 0db my faders on the 01x don't respond. the faders in live do though. If i move the faders in the program with the mouse my 01x faders work. only when i use the button does the fader not respond. Seems really weird to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jett.
