still having difficulty burning cd's

the problem is not w/ ableton itself.i literally just cant burn cd's anymore w/ any program on my compter w/o distortion & cutting out.even just a regular mp3 of a favorite band or something.it sounds like maybe its a hardware related problem not a program issue.i reinstalled my drivers cleaned the cd player lens etc.. any ideas?

try a different burner
try a different brand of cdr
burn at a slower rate
dont do anything else while its burning
try copying a cd and see if that works

thats all i got for now.

i agree with jOshu@

first i would swapp the media, try tao yuden!! or verbatim super AZO, if you are still without succsess try other brands... but tao yuden should do the trick!

and yeah, defenitely try slower burn speeds... for me rule of thumb and good results since years is 1x - 4x time if the audio burn is really important.

Maybe try updating the firmware for the drive to....
