Can't hear impulse sounds

I'm giving impulse a shot (have guru) because I keep hearing good things. I drop it into a midi track and then, although I can see that it's responding to midi signals from my keyboard (or TF), I can't hear anything. I've armed the record button and all that *ish - suggestions?

Try switching the octaves. I can't remember off the top of my head which range it has to be in, but it will only work within a certain octave. Press "x" or "z" a few times to switch up or down and it'll work.

i just fixed the same problem on my controller today. like with the keyboard, it's a matter of the octave you are in. just muck with the range until you get it. that should be it.
