I have had FL6 for a while now, at first I just wanted a different atmosphere to create in, then! I used it as a VSTi in Live.. Damn! these 2 work great together. I can use all of the instruments in FL6 just as if they were dropped in live. Also using FL6 as a massive groove box VSTi.
This is the best inspiration for the money I have spent in a long time.
Anyone else doing this? How do you use Live and FL6 together?

Could I get FL midi out in VST mode so that I could use that badass chord creator and send the midi notes to the Live sequencer?mikemc wrote:The power trio of PC-based electronic music is Live, FLStudio, and Plogue Bidule.
You can set up a great pulsing backing in FL. Routing the arp from Midi Out in FLstudio to Live: great fun. And you can filter and route whatever to whereever using Plogue.

ymmv, but using FL rewired to Live offers a lot more routing possibilities, as FL Studio 4.5 has 16 rewire output, FL6 may have even more? then again, I guess by the time the rewired FL hits Live, it is audio not midi, so you can't use the Live midi effects. either way, FL and Live are a dope combo, to be sure.

I got started on FL but haven't used it since picking up Live really. I really miss the internal midi control offered by FL -- anyone know if you can route a peak controller or formula controller from FL to Live using rewire? Or would I need to get Plogue (like I have time to try and figure out another application) to do this stuff?
