Monitoring with headphones question

Post by Advent57 » Thu May 18, 2006 11:21 pm

Hello i need advice please, i know you can monitor using headphones if your soundcard has multiple outs, but, can you set up Live so it uses 2 soundcards so that you can headphone monitor using 1 of them?
Thankyou

if you're on pc you can try it with asio4all (http://www.asio4all.com) as it can gang wdm soundcards. it seems a little bit unstable when i've tried ganging my internal with my echo indigo, but it does seem feasible to use, althought the latencies seem blow out a bit...

i'm pretty sure theres something built into OSX that'll do it if your on mac.
Hp Elitebook 2.8Ghz. Live 7.0.14 & Live 8.1.5, XP Pro. and stuff...

Aggregate Devices. Go to Audio MIDI Setup, File > Open Aggregate Device Editor, add the devices you want to use, rejoice
