how to set exact tempos in arrange - Automation
Hi,
Is it possible to set exact tempo levels when using the
automation in an arrange set up - if I double click to set a point
and drag it is very difficult to set it exactly.
Thanks

option a--hold down the "ctrl" key while moving automation breakpoints for fine tuning, great for any automation tweaks
option b--probably better for precise tempo changes, stop your set, drag the arrangement position counter (measure/bar/beat) to the precise location of a tempo change (probably on the "1" beat of a measure). the hit the global record button, then change the tempo bpm readout to precisely what you want, and hit play. This way you can record the automation into the master track from a precise location at the perfect tempo (128 bpm, not 128.07 or whatever). repeat as needed for songs with multiple changes...

glad to help, I just figured out option b today when thinking about the issue from a practical standpoint of needing tempo changes to be right on the "1" and that it's easier to have a interger for bpm rather than a bunch of decimals. It's a bit annoying though, ctrl should really shift breakpoints in increments of .01 so you can precisely hit the integers. Maybe alt could shift them in increments of .1
