MANY HOURS of work on my laptop PC, planning to take all of this to my OSX Pro Tools setup.
On my laptop, I am on Live 4.1 and all loops are in a desktop folder titled "Acid Loops." I saved the laptop work as "Self-contained," figuring I didn't want the hassle of having the Mac be unable to find the loops.
So I am opening the "Self-contained" files on the Mac (Live 5.0), and the SAME loops are on the Mac desktop in a folder titled Acid Loops... but it doesn't work.
1) What does "self-contained" actually mean?
2) What is the best way to stay out of trouble if I am using are LARGE collection of loops that are loaded onto several PC's / Mac's?
3) How can I "see" where Live is looking for a specific loop? That would be helpful.
