Post by scott » Thu Jul 17, 2003 5:51 pm

Hello. I am working on a web site having to do with Live. Can someone tell me what the font on the Live packaging is?

Thanks!

A sensible, traditional yet modern European selection, Ableton's choice of Spiekermann's 1984 classic Meta -- reembodied in the mid-90s as ITC Officina Sans -- is displayed in a lovely radioactive-vomit green:

I could be wrong though.

Thanks!

I wonder if there's a free version anywhere?

for real though? I'm working on the us live tour promo material, and my itc officina sans book looks similar, but the ends of the letters aren't rounded like the ableton logo's letters are, and the lowercase "a" is markedly different--anyone have any thoughts on this?

okay, now I get it. Someone there at ableton tweaked the ableton logo letters to get the round ends and non-officina sans book lowercase "a"? Now that I look at all of the menu text at the top of this site, I concede--that text is all officina sans book--I get it. There's no chance that the actuall "ableton" letters we see on the logo are a font, eh? Thanks,

Ryan
