I am getting glitches/BSOD when changing settings in live

I am getting anything from slight audio glitches to the full blown blue screen of death when moving send amounts and volume settings in live. I am running Windows XP pro and a AMD 64x2 4400. My version of live is 5.2. My computer is working without a hitch except this live issue. It is most frustrating as Live is the main reason I built this computer.

I have tried moving around my DSP and audio cards into different PCI slots and it has no effect. All I can think is that my mouse and keyboard are causing it. I am at a loss at the moment. Mind you it is 8am and i have been up for a very very long time.
