basically use 2 sends, on one of them (2nd one apparently is better for some reason - we'll say "B") put a utility plug-in on "B" with the "invert" preset then turn the send on the "B" return track for "A" all the way up and have on "A" the plug-in (angstro or livecut/whatever)

then assign a button/pedal whatever to the send "B" (for the utility) on the track you want to effect and it will go from 0-100% in one press (no need for 2 buttons)

the utility will phase invert and thus cancel out the original signal but at the same time send it to the effect so you get 100% effect in one button press without having to use on/off buttons
nice forge, i remember you posting this trick before. One question--I like to throw livecut on the master, but have had the on/off issues you mention--any ideas for a trick like this on the master channel--seems tricky since you can't use send/returns. its a headscratcher for me...

only way I can think is if you use a group track for the master

I think it's written in SynthEdit, so it can't be ported.

Is the Hum issue the same as the audio hiccup issue?

I don't get any audible hum when I hit the loop reset button, but my entire audio stream does a big hiccup when the reset button is hit.

I am way too lazy and unskilled to write my own angstrolooper. I wish it was a usable plugin, or that there was some usable version in the forseeable future.

use the "utility" trick - I use it for Livecut which seemes to be unstable when you use the on/off button

basically use 2 sends, on one of them (2nd one apparently is better for some reason - we'll say "B") put a utility plug-in on "B" with the "invert" preset then turn the send on the "B" return track for "A" all the way up and have on "A" the plug-in (angstro or livecut/whatever)

then assign a button/pedal whatever to the send "B" (for the utility) on the track you want to effect and it will go from 0-100% in one press (no need for 2 buttons)

the utility will phase invert and thus cancel out the original signal but at the same time send it to the effect so you get 100% effect in one button press without having to use on/off buttons
I tried this trick out for the first time and for some reason can't get it to work. I get the phase inverted silence from B Return but I am not getting anything out of the A Return where i have put LiveCut. I have turned the send A up all teh way on return B. Is there a setting I am missing?

Thanks,

Rerun

in live 6 you have to enable sends on the return tracks (right click) could that be it?

angstro is my favorite looper, but i can't get the midi assign to work (i've followed the directions, nothing). i'm sure i'm missing something obvious. any thoughts?

(have tried to get the elogoxa or whatever looper, which looks pretty cool, but it seems no longer to be on line.)

That was it. I totally forgot about that. Thanks,
