from ableton team told me they'll do not realize a plug like the fantastic armstrong looper on the version 6 :( :( :(

i've tested about all the looper on the market (hardware and software), and the magical armstorng is near to the ideal loop;

i wish i could have soon a version of this jewel without the hum on the killing button (this fact made the tool unusable on live situations),
a reverse button
an automatic setting of the loop length (with the first loop)
an a/b double loop layer
an undo/redo button

with this other addistional features tihs will be the perfect looper for ableton and guitar (or other real instuments)

i'll pray the lord for this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
pleeease!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

i think armstong is lighter, more ableton-like, and more user-friendly, probably is an istinctive opinion, but instinct is the most importanct factor due to valutale live-looping tools

Did you try angstro looper?

It´s great and it looks like an ableton plug in.

ehi, what is angstro looper?

probably is another name to call armstrong?
in this case there's the kill button problem! the kill button noise kills the possibility to use it in a live situation!!!
however this is the link of armstrong: http://www.plugins.timeshard.com/

ok, since now the best looper seems to be mobius, but to my taste is too complicate.
i've also guitar rig2, but the built in looper is without feedback rate and there's a sound break when youy change the gr2 patches,

so unfortunately the only way to loop is mobius,
please i would be happy if armstrong will release a version without hum!!!!

stick angstrolooper on one send, when you have to kill the loop mute out the send, kill the loop, activate the send, loop-killing-confirmation-noise avoided :)

damn that armstrong guy,

he should get his finger out and fix that shit !!

;)

well, like I said to machinate - it's all to drive Ableton to do it properly. If I do it right , sorry if that Armstrong guy did it right, where would the incentive be for Ableton ?

really, I think the armstrong guy would be cool - he wouldn't mind if they used the gui style ! I hear he's real cool like that.

handsome too!

well, but this can be only an half solution, and this is a muddy procedure, because you have to assign another pedal, and you have to push 2 buttons! when the armstrong will be fixed we'll have a jewel! i can't understand why there's no hurry on ableton team to produce a tool like that!!!!

i use AL with guitar rig2 (wich has a built in looper, but not good as armstrong or mobius), when I'll have also a good looper I'll have my dream tool!!!

use the "utility" trick - I use it for Livecut which seemes to be unstable when you use the on/off button

basically use 2 sends, on one of them (2nd one apparently is better for some reason - we'll say "B") put a utility plug-in on "B" with the "invert" preset then turn the send on the "B" return track for "A" all the way up and have on "A" the plug-in (angstro or livecut/whatever)

then assign a button/pedal whatever to the send "B" (for the utility) on the track you want to effect and it will go from 0-100% in one press (no need for 2 buttons)

the utility will phase invert and thus cancel out the original signal but at the same time send it to the effect so you get 100% effect in one button press without having to use on/off buttons

Read the mobius documentation, it has its own midi implementation.
