future retro users...
well I had been setting money aside for some decent cables for all my modules, for one big cable blowout...
well I've just caved in and I'll be putting the money towards a revolution instead,
anyways I could get either a special edition orange one with glow-under-UV Red buttons, or a standard one. not much in the price difference...
aesthetics are the least important thing, but has anyone out there used or seen the orange one in real life ? on the pics I've seen the red buttons seem to kind of melt into the orange background....so Im not sure if this equates to an annoyance in real life or not
looks kool I think, only the buttons I'm not sure about (visibility anxiety)
course, these special editions are always a better investment, even if only by a small margin.

That's cool. Did the store (in Germany, right) hold one of the orange units for you? If you pick up an orange one and ever want to get rid of it, I'll bet it will appreacaite nicely... (not that you want to think about selling it or anything yet).b0unce wrote:I reckon I'll get mine the same time as you, I cant pay for another two weeks (got to raise 200 euro [entering beg/borrow/steal mode]) - and will take up to a week to be delivered I reckon.
I'm psyched.
Do you happen to have a link to a photo of the orange unit? Haven't seen it yet...
Thanks
nah, dont get rid of audio equipment usually...I'll even keep my 410 so I can shit on it someday. The closest I've come to selling something like that would be a bizarre trade I made with a friend in which he was bound to never sell it (a sony minidisc multi-md multi-cd hifi, really a spiffy unit...anyways) himself, that he could only give it back to me if he wanted rid of it. It was the only way I'd sell it (he was really pushing for me to part with it) and he thought it would never bite him in the ass. Ha ha....it actually worked out, couple of years later time came to pay the fiddler and I snatched it back, as he bailed out of town owing people money left right and centre. He 'sold' it to his house mate to pay off debts, and I got it back just in time. Had to remind the him of his contract, so he ended up ripping the other guy off. Would have just as easily been me had I not been swift like a magpie in liberating it from its unsavoury nest. I'm a collecter....i have broken mini discs, an odd rock I painted as a kid, all kinds of weird things that make for cool macro photography from about ten years ago when I spent alot of time using photoshop....Its a drag moving.thelike5 wrote:That's cool. pics ahoy!
(the red buttons are UV reactive by the way, but the camera does a bad job picking that up)
