** Virtual Studio Partner WANTED **

Post by Grade E » Tue Jun 13, 2006 4:32 am

Ok, I'm going to open myself up for some badgering and ridicule I'm sure, but what the hell. :D

I'm looking for a virtual studio partner to collaborate on tracks, with an ultimate goal of trying to get some material signed to some of the independent dance labels out there. I've been working on tracks on my own for the last year or two, and it's simply lost it's appeal. I have a hard drive littered with half baked ideas, that never get a proper finish. I believe there has to be someone like minded, that might be able to get some inspiration off what I've started (or vice versa) that would result in some finished tracks. What I'm hoping for is to find someone interested in working on material by sharing Ableton Live arrangements and sample files. Ideally, this would be someone that has a very similar if not the exact setup as myself (to make arrangement sharing easier) in terms of VSTs, and of course has similar musical interests. I'm mostly into progressive (breaks and straight beat), which I know will immediately turn off a number of people. Artists like Luke Chable, Dominic Plaza, David West, Kosmas Epsilon, Jaytech, Steve May etc are similar to the sound I'm in to.

But a better way to figure out whether or not you're interested in working on some music with me is to listen to (and possibly toy with) some tracks I've worked on.

Here are two samples tracks (both proggresive breaks) that I've recently worked on, including the Live Arrangements and samples so you can toy with the mixes yourself if you like.

If interested in doing some virtual music making (or just making fun of me) , please email me at [email protected] for more info.

For the record the VSTs I primarily use:
Use in almost everytrack:
Camel Space Delay
Ohm Boyz Delay
Novation V Station
Spectrasonics Atmosphere
Spectrasonics Trilogy
Phatmatik Pro (Drum Loop Instrument)

VSTs Used Occasionally:
Arturia Minimoog
PSP Vintage Warmer
Camel Phat

Hi Grade E,
I really like both tracks and I'd love to hear more of the same if you have any. Both are very polished and well produced and I could easily hear them being played out by a top dj. If you have not already done so can I suggest you send them to some of the breaks labels as I'm sure you would generate some interest.

Regards,

amigo.
