problems installing.please please help

hi.i recently bought and installed version 5.03.i upgraded to v 5.2 but am having problems.it installed ok initially but when selecting the folder to use for vst i accidently selected the c drive.(i kno i m a dummy)since then the prog wont load.it stops on the first screen when scanning for vst,s.ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling many times but still nothing.it says it cant find the C:hiberfil.sys file.i m goin gout of my mind because for a while it was perfectly with my new novation 25sl keyboard.please please can u help.i havent got much hair left to pull out.

assuming you're on windows, go to the following folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\<YourUsername>\Application Data\Ableton\Live 5.2\Preferences\

there just delete or at least rename the file "Preferences.cfg" which contains all settings (also the path to your VST folder now set to c:\).

before you can find that folder you have to set explorer to show hidden files and folders.
