Post by forge » Wed Jul 05, 2006 6:22 am

www.myspace.com/alexisforge

there's a new flash player down the page with some more tunes

1. A remix for Four:twenty records james Mowbray & D ramirez remix comp "I choose anger"
2. New techno tune about 140bpm "yamato mahf"
3. tech house tune around 130 "deepmin reakt"
4. my shot at the MBM remix comp that was on this forum
5. Electro breaks tune "Arpur"
6. Another Electro Breaks tune "Real Low elektrik"
7. Moody vocal track "solace"
8. tune from project with Rich Jones from Traxter (Primate) chiefs of staff

some of these are also on my own web site, but some aren't and are just uploaded

I reckon "real low electric" is the shit. (could easily be remixed to a floorfiller!)
I like solace for it's well thought out structure; and really like the base of "making me feel", has some real nice aril brikha feel to it.
(in my opinion you take it to far and put to much on top; while the base allready rocks so hard; you could just work that out...have a listen to "groove la chord" of aril, if you don't know this one)
you've got mad productionskillz, and like said , "real low electric" is da shit.
I can imagine connaisseur recordings or pokerflat will like this together with a four to the flour version ...
(I would not mind having a go at it somewhere in august)

nice tunes, sir. Thanks for the link!
How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll Tootsie Pop?

thanks guys!

hey Mark, finally checked your stuff out - nice stuff man - very close to the kind of stuff I'm listening to alot of these days

thanks for the info I'll check out groove la chord - any ideas where I can find it online? - I never go to real record shops any more because I no longer have decks and all my vinyl is in the UK!

Remix sounds like a cool idea - havent done anything with that one yet - just in the process of getting my shit together to start sending things off after a long silence

Making me feel was going to come out on Low Pressings but they sadly ceased to be before it made it out

thanks adonis

yeah the Low pressings ones were "everywhere i go" and "mon cong" - tehy're not on the myspace page but my "alexisfroge" website

the top 3 in the normal myspace player "making me feel" were due to come out on Low Presseings but they pulled the plug on the labe - so I'm going to send that one off again

You spelled your name wrong - syke, but no really you did <--- did you see how I was able to convey the sarcasm without an emoticon?

just kidding

but on the serious tip - your beats are seriously top notch, so props from you actually means something...seriously

keep banging 'em out

later

Adonis

edit add on: but on the serious tip - your beats are seriously top notch, so props from you actually means something...seriously

^^^ right now I'm sitting on about 4 tracks my partner thinks are really good and wants to send to our friend in Scotland <-- but I think they're crap and can't bring myself to zip the folder and send off. Don't ask me why it's just how I feel right now. But I think tonight I'm going to blindfold myself and send them off and not think twice about it

People are always blowing up tracks saying "It's good" but I'm always like but your music is better how can you can you say mine are good - you're better than me <--- it's fucked up way of thinking but it's how I think

I really got get over that

peace - and keep banging 'em out Forge - mad respect

thanks Adonis - likewise - props from you counts because you got IT

I know what you mean about sending things off - it's been like a disease for me - nver getting around to sending anything - I had Tom Stephan (superchumbo) - one of my fave DJs and producers of all charted my tunes and I emailed him about the last release that never made it and he said he was very interested to hear what I'd been up to - and here I am still havent sent it - that might have been a year ago now!

Because he wanted a CD the whole thing of pressing one and posting it somehow made it that much harder to get around to

we have to fight the demons of doubt - the best bit of advice I was ever given is just keep sending and sending and sending and just try and make sure the next is better than your last

So I want to get into a routine where i have my CDs and labeler all ready to go - even envelopes and stamps - just ready to burn, label, stick in tthe envelope - go

try and do a run every week

but I keep saying this and it still hasnt happened

but I think the more prolific then the less likely to be to attached to everything
