In-kit preview in impulse

i'd need a feature in impulse like battery has. i make a beat with impulse, but wanna change the snare sound, so now i hafta look it up "by hand" hearing only the new snare, but if it would have an in-kit preview, for example having a circled arrows icon (as now for preset browsing) on every slot, i could listen the new snare in my groove.

if you put sounds into impulse, why are they being overdriven?
i load a simple kick drum and trigger it, and it gives me clipping sign...

yea i know i can turn the volume down, but should it be this way by default?
