edited the link to get to the www.panjea.com/anachronid site

Thanks for the compliments! I/we appreciate it.

The song "Pattern R (live remix)" was actually a live "performance"... but it was also done w/ Ableton Live :D
Good to see people who like the dark evil full-on psy

However, we removed that one and put the real version of it up... or at least, the most recent version. Actually, we've worked on the songs a bit since the last post, so hopefully they'll sound better!

Cheers!

PS: just a note... all of these songs were started and written in Ableton Live 5. Eventually, once they were sequenced, we rendered down each of the audio tracks and imported into Logic 7. I still think that something is lost when rendering from Ableton (especially as a mix down)... I can't put my finger on it, but it sounds a bit flat... especially with regards to the stuff that's transposed and pitched around in Ableton...
Perhaps I'll have better success directly recording into Logic via rewire?

yeh perhaps you will. Ive noticed problems with the ableton sound engine aswell. nothing major or anything but it does have a bit of difficulty combining certain sounds. hopefully the engine will have improved with version 6 :)

Thanks!

We used an Access Virus TI synthesizer, and soft synths we used: Vanguard, FM7, Reaktor, Muon Tau Pro, Absynth 3, Battery, Ableton Operator, and Pro 53. In other hardware details, we used a Novation X-Station controller, and we're running a powerbook and a G5 power mac.

On a side note, we've put up a new track on www.myspace.com/anachronid (track = til it hz), and we've remixed and further produced some of the older tracks... They're up in much higher quality (still) on www.panjea.com/anachronid

Thanks again for listening!
