Hi all,
I just got a new macbook pro and am having problems getting midi from Logic into Live via rewire, though I'm having no problems getting audio from Live into Logic via rewire.
In Logic's environment I've created a new internal rewire object, the name came up automatically as Ableton Live which tells me (that and the audio working right) that Rewire is installed right. Then in Logic's arrange page I've assigned a track to that rewire object and created a midi sequence on that track.
Now in Live I have Simpler loaded and am trying to get Logic to trigger it but no dice, if I create a midi clip in Live it'll trigger simpler and I'll hear it just fine in Logics mixer but I can't seem to get Logic to trigger simpler. One the midi input for the simpler channel I have all inputs selected and all channels but still nothing.
Any ideas or anything that I'm missing?
Midi from Logic into Live via rewire?

i am not familiar, exact on "how to" but you can use the IAC bus for it, maybee someone can explain exactly how... i did not had any use for it yet, so never got my head around it. but i know from the Logicprohelp.com forum (i did read some threads about it a a while ago, but can't recall from scratch) that it is possible and that it works... maybee do a search there:

Thanks everyone, I guess if it isn't there then that would explain the results that I'm getting
I'm going to try the IAC route then.

I'm going to try the IAC route then.

Not yet. This is an advertised feature of 6:
In the meantime, you could use a painfully complex midi loopback procedure to achieve this, or a painfully time consuming process of exporting standard midi between the two apps a track at a time."ReWire master applications, such as ProTools, Logic and Cubase, can route MIDI to Live's MIDI tracks, making it possible to use Live's instruments."
