i'm new to this forum and also to music making software in general..
i've been having a problem with ableton live and i can't seem to solve it so i figured i'd ask here.
i can best describe it through an example: if i play a kick drum sound every 0.2 seconds, when i play back what i've recorded, instead of it sounding like "kick kick kick kick" it sounds like "kick kick small-pause kick kick".
i've tried a number of things: deactivated quantizing, deactivated the grid and snapping to grid, changed the input and output buffer size in preferences/audio. none of this worked..
i've also tried recording stuff in fruity loops and acid pro, and they work just fine.
i hope you guys can help.. thanks in advance.
