A Machine Drum is a step time drum machine...
I slave Live to my Electribe S which is more or less my main sequencer these days...! It's pretty simple: Connect your drum machine out to a MIDI in and tell Live to look for clock at this port, then click the EXT button next to the BPM Counter... kapow... sync...

Well, I actually moved out of the city last week! I moved 30 minutes north to a more peaceful place where I can see more stars, though NYC messes that up too. I was damn happy to be out of the city when the shit hit the fan..

Sounds like a wise decision, mate. I don't really understand cities. There's something about the ambiance of the city and the way people don't relate to each other that I don't like. The noises can be very interesting though: cars, voices... Almost as good as trains. I really love trains. We have new trains over here that have do very nice soundtracks to the very nice scenery.
Er. Sorry. I'll go to bed now...

Have to admit that concern for the possiibility of blackout damge to my TiBook made my four hour walk home go by relatively quickly. Everything was fine except for my blisters and withdrawal symptoms...And then the thought of having to perhaps actually learn to play guitar, or the harmonica (or both!), to go on in a powerless world...
Anybody have any recomendations for a good surge protector? I guess thats another thread, sorry.
