Most of the time when I open b1 the MIO 2882 +DSP driver is not listed. Somehow it is not recognized by Apple's Audio Midi Setup app. I have to restart the computer once or twice for recognition. Never a problem with L5.
When Audio Midi setup recognizes it so does b1 and vice versa.

Yea, it doesn't make sense to me either but I haven't had a driver problem in the two months I've been using the MIO driver until the day I started using 6b1. Maybe it was just a freak thing that happened a couple of times in a row. Tomorrow I will open 5 and 6 a bunch of times and see what happens.Alex wrote:If an audio/midi driver is not recognized by the Audio MIDI Setup utility it will also not be available for Live.
So I do not think this related to a certain version of Live and will move this thread into the Bugs and Problems forum.

I can't reproduce the bug on demand, but after restarting my computer about 20 times it is intermittent. Also, like you said, it isn't specific to a version of Live. Anyway, it only happens about one in six times I start my computer so I'm not going to worry about it.
