L6 Racks Simultaneous Midi and Audio? (Guitar synth....)

I had been really hoping that Racks would allow you to combine midi and audio tracks so that you could build and save sounds designed using both. In particular I'm looking to be able to drive a midi synth from my guitar whilst putting the audio ouput through Guitar Rig 2.

As far as I can see audio and midi Racks as mutually exclusive. I had hoped that I could use Reaktor and GR2 in a midi Rack and then direct the audio from another track to GR2 but it doesn't get picked up inside the Rack.

The technology seems so close to what I want and the Rack implimentation would save me having to spash out on Kore, but it dosen't look as if it's quite there yet.

Has anybody else managed to get something like this to work?

I'm aware that it can be done with two separate tracks, it's just that Racks seemed to offer a really easy way to save and catelogue the results in a very intuative interface.
