Audio not steady..Please help.

Post by borda » Tue Aug 01, 2006 10:41 pm

I have a show tomorrow but my Live 5.2 is not behaving well. I get small interuptions ..1\4 of a second. I've done everyting I know :
- Running just 3-4 stereo tracks simultaneosly
-They are all frozen. Just moving volume faders.
-Just one is Complex Wrap mode
-CPU usage Threshold is already 65%
-My CPU load never goes beyhond 15%
-Audio card buffer is 768 ( that is high)
-NO plug ins NO FX just plain bounced audio tracks.
-No automation.

It used to work fine but this week is being nasty.

Please some light,

Juan

I am using iMacG5 w/Tiger 1G RAM 1.5 Khz . M-Audio 1410, UC33

bear in mind that complex warp is CPU hungry // i would bounce it down if ur having CPU glitch issues.

also try running the set using the built-in coreaudio driver rather than ur sound card - do u still get the drop-outs?

The show went great. I used CPU threshold at 68% and I just used EQ filtering on two tracks plus a Aux input with a preset delay. No glitches, I could have been a miracle cuz two days before I was in pain.

Thanks for your help,
