Peace to all! :D

Hey!

Thats real cool of you to offer the opportunity to people. Much thanks! If I lived near you I would definetly come and play...your in California right?? I really want to head over to that neck of the woods .... LA and all those places..I think the quality of life would be real good. I live so far away in Scotland but one day I will make it over there I'm sure.

Best,

D

Scotland - you must be smoking blunts with Boards of Canada all the time. I'm in NYC and I've been chillin' with Taylor Dupree & P. Diddy.

As we speak I'm doing a test run of my BM rig: a P4 laptop with external firewire drive running Ableton and Logic. I've enclosed the laptop in one of those zip-up bags you buy comforters and pillows in! It's fabric on the sides (for ventilation) and plastic in front so you can see the screen. Using Chainer to organize my Vsti's, I've written an environment in Logic that lets me use a Radium controller to switch between my Roland XV-2020, Native Instruments B4, Emagic EVP73, Synth 1, and Delay Lama. Cool, eh?

I can't wait to get this puppy on the WooNami Bus and FREAK OUT SOME SQUARES!!!

Where are you other sets? What are you using for a sound card (I'm using the Layla)? How do you go mobile at BM?

Maybe we'll meet up!

Rig:
- 6500 watts
- 8 18" subs going down to 18 hz
- Live on a PowerBook covered in PlasticWrap (except for the air ports)
- MachineDrum
- Virus C

- Running Roland V-drums MIDI clock from a live drummer or when a live drummer isn't around, my MachineDrum keeps the master tempo.

We will be performing with many DJs (including Tipper and Cut Chemist?!) and a live band.

I may have a burning man ticket for sale. I bought one at a buddy's urging, and really don't want to go. I'm not into big gatherings, nor do I like camping. I particularly don't like "artsy-fartsy / hippie / crystal channeling / anarchist / socialist / new age / earth goddess / rebel for no reason" type stuff... So I REALLY don't want to go.

Can you sell these tickets on Ebay?

Besides, I DON'T want to bring my computer out into a dusty environment really...

Dude, that's nuts! Wow - your presence there would be the one reason for me to actually show up!

Unfortunately I still won't be able to go most likely.

Anyways, I'll send you a PM on this Rahlo!

i went to BM in 2003 with complete skepticism about it being a hippie drum circle fest.....it ended up being one of the best and weirdest experiences of my life (and i don't impress easily at all) I don't think anyone could NOT have an amazing time at burning man. I would recommend anyone from any walk of life to go at least once, it will give you inspiration and memories for years to come
