So I have been mixing for years and working in the studio with nuendo for some time now for my production work.
But he recent addition of adding live to my djm800 has brought up some fun things. I wanted to know if there was anyone out there using one of the channels in live as a standalone effects processor and manipulation it with midi controller in the same way you would with something like the efx-1000.
If so what kind of things are you able to create like "feedback loops" and how do you have it set up? Thanks for all your help.
Running ableton as a standalone effects unit too

never used a efx-1000 but i have used live as a standalone processor for things like guitars and synths. One set up i used to use a bunch was guitar or hardware synth -> ableton Live aux out -> Fender super reverb & ampeg Gemini ( both in parrallel ). I would control the effects in live with me fcb1010. The master out of Live was to my monitors. Then at the same time i had miked the amp and sent that into a different channel in Live. We had this really crappy/metal band playing in the room next to us so i would feeding back the recording of the amp and send it back through the amp again - ouch, they didnt last 5 minutes. fun stuff!!
