Yeah, looks sweet if you need the audio interface too.

I'm happy the the standard version though, and there are more controllers which suits me better.

Pretty impressive that they're both the same price.

I just wish they'd hurry up and release the OS X USB drivers for the remote25.

The price when you click buy now is for the normal ReMote 25.

I'm kinda hanging on for LCDs on knobs like the MicroKontrol.

It's kinda weird that Novation just decided what the knobs would be labled for you.

All of these really good ideas will come together soon in one controller I guess..... 8O

only 2 outs

I think a normal remote 25 is better together with a
soundcard with more outs. The remote audio has only
2 outs. Also i want to assing my own controllers.

FYI I got a mail from Novation a couple of days ago saying usb drivers for Mac are in beta now and will be available ASAP
I also reminded them that a few of the templates that come programmed into the Remote have errors in them, although if/when that will be remdied remains to be seen.
Also, there's nothing preventing you from assigning your own controllers and making your own templates with new version it would seem-it's just that some of the controls have labels on them to match the preset templates. Assuming it's the same as the original 25, it's a cinch to program new controllers.

Yeah, I got an email from them too saying they'd release the drivers this week and that they were in final testing. However... they also told me that three weeks ago.

Still, mustn't grumble.

it looks like the remote 25 has an arpeggiator on it. am i correct in saying that?

why oh why didn't the earlier versions have it, I wonder? ah the perils of being an early adopter.

I use a Yamaha An1x for the appegiator. If you can pick one up second hand, DO IT... it is a great midicontroller/appegiator/keyboard/synthesizer.

you can assign the controllers, can't you?

from novation:

"All controls can be named and memorised as a collection and given a group template name. They can then be saved in any one of the template memories. - See right for the complete front panel."

or are they referring to something totally different? Man, I need to find a way to sell my edirol pcr50 and tascam us122 now. This will save me lotsa space!
