This raises questons for me. I'm ready to get more into working like this and recording clips live and looping them. I dont have much spare cash, I have a oxygen controller and am getting a triggerfinger, but how do you setup live to do this? I mean so it records a clip right at the start of playing the trigger finger then it stops and loops and is nicley quantised. I assume theres a lot of work in getting your live template right, but I really want to do this now looks like fun and somehting of a challenge to master! At the moment I do everything slowly and render it or play pre recorded midi clips for instruments.

This may well be the wrong place for this, but its kind of relevant discussion. I've doen a bit of a search but I find the results a bit of a mine field and this clip explains what I want to acheive perfectly.

you and me both, im bored with using live as a sequencer mainly.
im ready for the live part of live. (catchy name theyve got, no?)
seen some posts about it, but i cant really get it to work properly either.
ill keep experimenting.

it's kind of funny that he's lauded for "playing" live, like... the way musicians have been doing since the beginning of time. says alot about EM culture.
..... . . . . . . . . .
