Use Gamepad to step through slots/clips

Post by nullpunkt » Sat Aug 19, 2006 8:07 am

Hello Community!

Last Week I tried to use a USB-Gamepad with a Software called Rejoice to controll some functions in Live. It was easy to configure the Software, so that I can start every scene in the Session-View and Start or Stop the whole Track.

BUT what I want to do now is: Step through each slot (e.g. with one of the joysticks of the gamepad) and choose only one single clip which I wanna start with a button-click...

Isn't this possible in live? It has to... I think... The Faderfox-Controller can do it (if I am right...?!?) - so why not a simple USB-thing?!?

Please, please help me ;-)

all i know is you can do it with mackie emulation

cc 60 is the jog wheel when doing mackie emulation
note 100 (whatever that is...) is trigger clip
and note 101 triggers scene.

I don't know if this helps at all.
It was as if someone shook up a 6 foot can of blood soda and suddenly popped the top.

Check out the specs for the Faderfox. It is all in the details of the manual. They mostly rely on having quite a complex Live template and then sending different midi note values.
