midi clip help

does anyone know how to default a midi clip to 1/16 and not 1/32 ? each time i double click to create the empty clip its 1/32 by default and its twisting my melon
G5 dual 2ghz - 3gb ram - motu 828 mkI - oxygen8 - plus other goodies
