Coming from conservative ol-skool Nuendo, I was like "Wh-a-a-a-at?" when I found that you can not render to mp3 in Live. Not a huge issue, but a quite surpring omission given the times we live in.

yeh! sadly tho ableton does not include some the most basic functions one might expect in your average every day sequencer.. then again it includes some things you've never seen before in a typical sequencer , and enables things to be done which could only be dreamed of in a non ableton sequencer , so i guess its a bit of give and take , with those things we would usually expect to be standard , versus those amazing features which are totally ableton ONLY things..

theres always work arounds too..

but i do wish ableton would include some standard functions ..
particularly some arrange sequencing stuff

most definitely need these features...

especially render to mp3:

I mean...you do a mix and want to put it on your mp3 player right away...to listen to when out and about...to test the tune

I do a lot of test mixes...none of which I care to have AIF files for since they're too large and I can't download them on my mp3 player. And a good quality mp3 (192 kbps) sounds close enough for these tests.

yes to mp3, no to tuner (most SW tuners aren't very good, i'd rather have live focus on other things, but don't feel strongly about it).

Render to mp3 could be nice. But I can't see why you wan't the tuner cause it already has it: Put on the test tone, and hit the A string on your guitar. Then tune the rest using that string as reference!
