mono channels in ableton?

is there anyway to switch a channel to mono instead of stereo? i can't seem to find the command.

Preferences > Audio > Settings > Input config.

Here you can set up your hardware as mono and/or stereo inputs.

To record a mono input on a track, select Ext In in the track's input pane, and below that you can now select any of your mono or stereo configured inputs.

drop a utility onto a track! then twist the lower knob of that ui to the left side

Still creates a stereo track that has the same on both sides.
